Simply Inspired CTMH New Idea Book Blog Hop

Welcome to our Simply Inspired CTMH New Idea Book Blog Hop.  If you arrived from Debbi Fournier's blog, you are in the right place.  This blog is like a big circle, so if you get lost, you can find the complete list of participants here.  This month it is "anything goes" and I chose to work with our new Ariana paper packet--my favorite of the seven new kits!  The card I made is quite simple, but I tried a fun new technique to use for the body of the butterfly.  I used  a piece of the green B&T paper from the Ariana kit and our Liquid glass and made a paper bead--so simple!

Here is how you make a paper bead:

I used some yellow-tipped sewing pins for the antennae on the butterfly.  Just bend them slightly and then put a blog of Beacons 3-in-1 glue on the pins and glue them inside the top of the paper bead.

Now head over to Carolyn Johnston's blog and see her beautiful artwork.

January Creative Class--Babycakes

These adorable pages would be great for photos of many different occasions, not just baby pictures.  I love the festive banners and the sophisticated Cricut cuts.  To adapt the bottom to pages to another theme, simply leave off the baby-themed elements and it would be perfect for birthday photos.

This class is only $22 and includes a pre-cut kit, a full package of stick on buttons, all Cricut cuts, use of my stamps and inks as well as personal instruction.  All classes will be held in my workshop in Draper.  Contact me today to reserve your spot or to order a take-home kit.

Welcome to our Simply Inspired Close To My Heart Blog Hop.  This month we are featuring the Cloud Nine Card Making Kit,  If you are coming here from Katy Taylor's blog, you are in the right place.  The blog hop is a great big circle, so if you get lost, you can find a complete list of participants here. It is super easy to hop along with us; simply click on the link at the end of each blog post and move to the next one.  Here we go!

The Cloud Nine card kit includes supplies and instructions to make ten cards.  I used the left-over papers and made a set of four 3"x3" cards and a gift envelope that is made out of a 4"x6" Flip Flap.  There is plenty of  Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape and Teal Shimmer Trim to embellish to your hearts content!  You can use the CTMH Scallop Border Punch on the Teal Shimmer Trim to make a fancy border for your projects.

This photo shows you how to cut your four card bases from your
left-over paper from the Cloud Nine Card Kit.

This photo shows how to make the gift envelope.
Hint:  I use these Flip Flaps to protect my 4"x6" recipe cards too!
